A New Cultural Landmark for Cangnan’s Badge Industry
Release time: 2026-04-09
On April 8, construction officially began on the Cangnan Hongwei Badge Culture Museum in Jinxiang Town. Covering approximately 30 mu (20,000 square meters) and representing a total investment of around RMB 350 million, the museum marks an important step in preserving the heritage of Cangnan’s traditional badge industry and accelerating its transformation and upgrading. It is also expected to create new momentum for cultural and creative consumption and the integrated development of culture and tourism.

Invested in and developed by Badge One, the museum features a design that combines the elegance of classical Suzhou gardens with the distinctive charm of Jiangnan water towns.
The museum will house hundreds of badges, emblems and insignia manufactured by Jinxiang Badge One over more than four decades for United Nations peacekeeping forces, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, the PLA Hong Kong and Macao Garrisons, and military and law-enforcement organizations in multiple countries.
Its collection will also feature notable products created for major national and international events, including the “50 Years of Party Membership” Commemorative Medal and products featuring the Hangzhou Asian Games emblem.

Other valuable exhibits will include a scale model illustrating more than 600 years of Jinxiang Ancient Town’s history, historical materials documenting the development of the town’s four signature small-product industries during the early years of China’s reform and opening-up, intangible cultural heritage court opera headwear created by Xia Yijin, and paintings and calligraphy by renowned artists.
Upon completion, the museum will serve as a landmark platform integrating cultural exhibitions, industry exchange, educational experiences, patriotic education and cultural heritage preservation.

“Building this museum is not only about preserving the history and achievements of our industry, but also about creating a platform for professional exchange and collaboration,” said Chen Jiashu, Chairman of Jinxiang Badge One. “Our goal is to bring innovation into the preservation of traditional badge-making craftsmanship and drive further development through innovation, contributing to the high-quality upgrading of Cangnan’s badge industry.”
Chen Zhongsong, Secretary of the CPC Jinxiang Town Committee, noted that Jinxiang is one of China’s leading badge manufacturing hubs. The badge industry is both a pillar of the local economy and an important part of Cangnan’s traditional manufacturing sector.
Taking the museum’s construction as an opportunity, Jinxiang Town will further integrate the badge industry with cultural tourism, capitalize on the development of region-wide tourism, and better connect traditional craftsmanship with modern consumer demand. These efforts will accelerate the industry’s development toward greater integration, premium manufacturing and stronger brand recognition.
Today, Jinxiang’s badge industry serves customers in more than 30 countries and regions worldwide. Local manufacturers have undertaken commemorative badge projects for major international events, including the Hangzhou Asian Games and the Chengdu FISU World University Games.

In March this year, two Cangnan-based manufacturers—Jinxiang Badge One and Zhejiang Huahui Aluminum Co., Ltd.—were officially designated as manufacturers of hanging National Emblems. Only eight companies nationwide hold this qualification, demonstrating the exceptional manufacturing capabilities, quality standards and industry strength of Cangnan’s badge sector.
